Summer Memories from Scott’s Peaceful Valley

November 2018

As the colder months begin we want to keep the warm summer memories going with a few fishing stories from our guest. The Schnerre Family was kind enough to share with us their family vacation in June.

“I just wanted to thank you, the boys and I had the trip of a lifetime staying with you, and camping on Mukooda Lake ? the boys and I caught 18 smallmouth measuring 20″ or over/ trophies! Probably around 20 or more that measured between 18″-20”! Lots of 2- 4 1/2-pound smallmouth & (largemouth bass) ?

Tons of bluegill, and yellow perch, and a dozen or more very big black crappie. We also caught pike and Noah managed to land 2 big pike. We caught a good amount of walleye, sauger, and smallmouth on crane. We even managed to catch & release 3 lake trout on Mukooda ? We released all of the bass to grow bigger if that is even possible since they are so big already? ? Gabriel even made friends with a painted turtle that dug a nest by our tent, laid her eggs and covered them up. Heaven on earth as far as the boys, and I are concerned and the fishing was also spectacular!”
